Get your zucchini out, lower them into rounds, and let’s make it parm-style.

The zucchini is baked from begin to end, topped with marinara and mozzarella cheese.

Now these guys do have a breading on it.

BUT!

If you need to save time.

And much more energy.

Skip the breading.

The marinara and the cheese might be loads.

Sheet Pan Zucchini Parmesan

Everyone’s favourite hen parmesan besides made HEALTHIER! Use zucchini as an alternative baked to perfection with marinara and cheese!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Panko*
  • 1/Three cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Kosher salt and freshly floor black pepper, to style
  • 2 zucchinis, thinly sliced to 1/Four-inch thick rounds
  • 1/Three cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 giant eggs, overwhelmed
  • half cup marinara sauce
  • half cup mozzarella pearls, drained*
  • 2 tablespoons chopped recent parsley leaves*

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400 levels F. Lightly oil a baking sheet or coat with nonstick spray.
  2. In a big bowl, mix Panko and Parmesan; season with salt and pepper, to style. Set apart.
  3. Working in batches, dredge zucchini rounds in flour, dip into eggs, then dredge in Panko combination, urgent to coat.
  4. Place zucchini in a single layer onto the ready baking sheet. Place into oven and bake till tender and golden brown, about 18-20 minutes.
  5. Top with marinara and mozzarella.
  6. Then broil for 2-Three minutes, or till the cheese has melted.
  7. Serve instantly, garnished with parsley, if desired.

*Panko is a Japanese-style breadcrumb and may be discovered within the Asian part of your native grocery retailer.

*Basil may be substituted.
